Summer is here! And who says summer, says moments of relaxation outside, in the sun. Among our favorites, meals on the terrace of course.
The garden table is essential for enjoying outdoors, with family or friends. But how to choose it well ? How many places, what shape, fixed or extendable, what materials, etc. ?
We give you all our advice!
What material ?
One of the criteria to take into account when choosing your table is its material. Although garden tables are designed to withstand the sun and bad weather, you have a multitude of choices of materials available to you, depending on your tastes but also the place in which you live.
"Plastic" materials such as PVC or polypropylene for example. This material has the advantage of being easy to maintain since a simple cloth with a little water is enough to clean and maintain your table. It is also a lightweight material, which will allow you to easily move it according to your needs and desires. This is a good option for small budgets.
Metal, namely most generally: steel, aluminum or wrought iron.
Aluminum is the most suitable material of the three for outdoor use since it does not rust. It is also easy to maintain as it requires no special attention while being extremely resistant to UV rays and bad weather.

Round and square tables generally accommodate 2 to 6 people and are therefore particularly suitable for small spaces. On the other hand, on a balcony, prefer a rectangular table so that you can easily stick it to the wall or railing.

Extendable table or fixed table ?

Which chairs to accompany your table ?
There are chairs (without armrests) and armchairs (with armrests).Choose chairs if you want to save space around the table.
It is also important to ensure that your garden chairs or armchairs are stackable if you wish to store them to save space at the end of the season.
As for the material, you can perfectly coordinate your chairs with the material of your table or play with a mix of materials. Wood and aluminum, for example, work very well.
