Summer is here and happy pool owners will be able to enjoy refreshing moments with family and friends.
The space around the swimming pool will even be the heart of the house during hot summer days and long festive evenings.
To fully savor these moments, we share some tips with you for creating a real haven of relaxation around your pool.
1. Safety first
First of all, we cannot stress this enough: any private, unenclosed in-ground swimming pool for individual use must be equipped with at least one of the four standardized safety devices aimed at preventing the risk of drowning: shelter, alarm, barrier or cover.
Next, be sure to choose the floor covering for your terrace around the swimming pool. Indeed, it is essential to think about safety and not choose slippery materials, to avoid falls.
Also remember to choose materials that do not heat up too much in the sun as people generally walk barefoot in this area.
2. Focus on furniture
After a little dip, there's nothing like sunbathing to relax in the sun.
In fact, in our opinion, it is the essential element at the edge of a swimming pool to fully enjoy your outdoor spaces after a refreshing swim.
Add a parasol to enjoy a little nap in the shade, lulled by the song of birds, especially during the hottest hours of the day.
If you have enough space, why not install garden furniture to have an aperitif by the water or even a dining table to enjoy a lunch or dinner with your feet in the water.
The space around your swimming pool will thus be a comfortable place, conducive to relaxation and fun. Set up small specific corners according to the atmospheres you want to create: relaxation/nap area, dining area, festive area, etc.
Don't forget the buoys to relax in your pool. And for this, you are spoiled for choice, depending on your style or even the theme of your future pool party.
3. Plant plants
To bring color to your exterior, add plants and flowers, which can also serve as a privacy screen.
Opt for plants with evergreen foliage, for example bamboo, boxwood or even cypress.
Avoid plants that lose their leaves, especially if you live in a windy region, to limit the maintenance of your swimming pool.
Also avoid thorny plants to avoid injury.
4. Light up your space
Even if your pool already has lighting, don't hesitate to integrate candles and solar lamps to illuminate the space around your pool.
Aperitif dinners at the water's edge are yours, all in a guaranteed cozy atmosphere.
And of course, don't forget to invite your loved ones and add a little touch of music for a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
